{Sneak Peeks Galore!…..and the Give Away Winner}

Oh lord…what a crumby day…

First off, did I mentioned it snowed ALL DAY??  It was a gross, wet, heavy, slushy, partial rain, ice cold snow.    The upside is that I did get to do two shoots today (both awesome), but I TOTALLY bit it on the driveway of my second shoot as I was leaving.  Go ahead and laugh, it’s okay :-)   I don’t think Laura saw me (thank you Jesus) and I’m sure she’s going to feel awful after she reads this (please don’t feel bad…it happens).  So there I sat, on my bum,  in the disgusting slushy, icy, snowy mess that was this morning.  I gathered up my stuff, chucked it in my car while cursing winter, got in my car, took of my shoes, turned my heat so that it all blew out at my feet, turned on my heated seat and drove back to my apartment.  It actually wasn’t that bad- I think the heated seat helped a lot.  But when I got to my apartment and had to get out to go open my garage….when I got back in my car to go park it…that’s when it felt DISGUSTING, wet and cold.

Then to top it off, some guy was walking by with his dog just as I stepped out of my car….it totally looked like I peed my pants…..awesome.

I got into my apartment, slammed the door, put on some PJ pants, curled up with my computer and vowed not to leave until the dumb snow decided to melt and the temperature decide to rise.

A couple hours later I bundled up again to go run my errands, ha!  :-)

Sorry- I just had to vent.  Warmer days, sunshine and outdoor shoots are just around the corner!!!!!

So I spent the last week in Kirksville.  Actually- I spent last Friday- Sunday in KC,  drove to Kirksville on Sunday, drove up to Iowa on Tuesday morning with my mom to pick up Kaitlin & Owen, drove back to Kirksville on Tuesday afternoon,  drove to KC on Thursday with Kaitlin to pick up Molly from the airport, drove back to Kirksville as soon as we picked up Molly, played all day on Friday (it was so nice outside), did 3 shoots on Saturday and drove back to St. Louis on Sunday……whew!

This all means I have lots of sneak peeks for you :-)  lots of REALLY CUTE sneak peeks!

We’ll start with Saturday…. First up, Brooke Eskrdige and her cute baby bump :-)

Next up was the Cleaver Family with their  brand new addition, Miss Macy Alyce.   SOOOOO Cute!!!!  I got to use my new baby bed on Macy :-)  Macy’s doing the Time Flies When You’re Having Fun Package, so we’ll get to see her a lot :-)

My final shoot for the day was for Miss Chloe.  We originally scheduled for when she was a newborn, but between Andrew & Tiffany being in Indian, me being in St. Louis and the shoot needing to happen sometime when we were back in Kirksville at the same time…it didn’t work out.  No worries- she came in at two months :-)  Let me say real quick that this was not a typical 2-month shoot!!!  Chloe let us do WAYYYYY more than I ever expected, she was a trooper :-)

Another BIG thank you to my trusty side kick, (and sister) Ali for helping for more newborn shoots!!  Also a BIG thank you to my mom for watching Lincoln so that Ali could come help me  :-)  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

This morning I had another montly shoot with Jack.  You can find him HERE and HERE  :-)  Jack started smiling as soon as walked in the door (20 minutes late because of this awesome weather) and did awesome as usual for his photo shoot.   Such a good baby boy!

After Julie’s house, I headed on over to her sister Laura’s house :-)   It’s so funny to listen to both their views on getting pictures taken…Julie is getting Jack’s pictures every month and Laura thinks she crazy for doing that….Laura has yet (until today) to get pictures of her 5- month old baby girl Lydia and Juile think’s she’s crazy for not having gotten pictures yet.  It made me laugh so hard :-)   Reminds me of me and my sisters.

Lydia was a smiling machine for me!  We got her propped and done in a matter of minutes.  Then it was Miss Emma’s turn…hahahah!   Let me tell you about Emma….I was warned that this little girl hates having her picture taken.  I hear that a lot and I usually brush it off because I have tricks up my sleeve that generally work.  Well Emma had me guessing my skills, but after 3 things of Smarties, declaring my white chair as “Emma’s chair”,   having her mom put Winnie The Pooh and Tigger figurines on my head, etc….we got her!  We tricked her :-)    Actually- they are some of the sweetest pictures I’ve ever seen.  I love them!!!  Sophie kiddos, thanks for letting me hang out with you all and enjoy your sneak peek!  P.S.- Sorry about the massive amount of Smarties on your basement floor ;-)  P.S.S.- if you see the imprint of a body on your driveway- it’s mine!

Next order of business……Announcing the GIVE AWAY WINNER!!!!!!!

Congratulations Kim & Robin!!!  I’ve updated the Give Away tab to show the latest standings.  I would have to say that 4lbs and 1 inch, during more than a week of traveling, is pretty good :-)

OK- I’m off to bed!!!  I’ve got a baby shoot tomorrow afternoon.  Love those babies :-)

OH-before I forget!!!!   My Columbia shoots this past Sunday had to be rescheduled because of the weather.  I’ll be stopping by THIS sunday to give it another shoot, so hopefully the weather will cooperate this time.  Fingers crossed!

  1. So sorry Lis. Ellie got her shoes and socks all wet walking through the slush out to the car at the mall and she complained about it a good portion of the way home. I think she understands your pain. She put her legs through the arms of her coat to try to stay warm. On the brighter side, you have some amazing pictures here. All such cuties. How much fun. And I believe I see a slight smile from Chloe in her purple skirt. I’m happy I could help (thanks for lunch) and am also very grateful for Mom and Dad who help watch the kids.

  2. I think this is my favorite sneak peak ever (except for my grandkids’)! So many sweet little ones (always a favorite of mine) and they are all sooo cute and cuddly! Chloe sure has her daddy’s eyes; Macy is so cute and looks so much like Bright; Brooke’s belly is adorable as is her little boy; Jack just has the sweetest face; and the pics of Lydia and Emma side-by-side looks like the same little girl at different ages! Love all these sweet little faces.
And congrats on such a great weight loss while on the road! Good job all around!

  3. I absolutely love them ALL Lissy!! So sad I missed seeing Macy on Saturday… I just want to snuggle with her after seeing these pictures.

  4. Such sweet little babies and Moms and Dads and kiddos!!
Lissy, I know how hard you work but when you create pictures like these you should be BEAMING!!

  5. Love them! Love them! Love them! Lis, thanks so much for working so hard at getting ALL of those great pics! You have captured such a precious time in our lives and am going to love seeing them up on my walls! Allison, thank you so much for devoting half your day to making sure Macy was posed perfect and always warm and snuggly with the space heater! Brooke, I totally think you could be a maternity clothes model, you look AMAZING!!!!!!
